Running for almost 100 years, we are one of the oldest scout groups running in the country, founded in 1909.

The 1st Knowle Scout Group is a charity with the number 524601. It was registered as a charity on November 3, 1965
The Scout Movement was founded in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell, a British Army officer, educator, and writer. Baden-Powell is also known as B-P. He wrote a popular book called Scouting for Boys that presented the ideas and theory behind Scouting. The first Scouting encampment was held at Brownsea Island in England.
The Scout Association was formed in 1910 and incorporated in 1912 by a royal charter. It's the recognized member for the United Kingdom of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.

Like many other scout troops, we are always looking for more leaders and volunteers.
Even if you can only offer fortnightly, or once a month, that will be fine
To join as a volunteer there is small amount of admin, but not too much, a couple of basic online courses covering child safety etc.
