Ultimately we hope that over a two year programme that a Beaver will earn a large number of activity badges all of the challenge award badges and qualify for the Chief Scout Bronze Award which is a special achievement an signals the Beavers readiness to move on into Cubs. Beavers earning badges is an exciting element of being in the Scouting movement. There are four main areas of attainment Core, Activity, Challenge and Partnership . Our goal is to help a Beaver achieve the Chief Scout Bronze award before they become a cub and this means achieving the challenge badges and good cross section of the activity badges.
Some Badges can be completed at home. Below are some of these badges.

There are a number of core badges, obtained upon joining or moving on from the Colony, or for time spent in the Scouting movement.
Many of the badges available are activity badges, which allow Beaver Scouts to show their progress in existing pursuits, but also to try all kinds of new things and form new interests.
Certain skills and experience grow through out a young persons involvement with Scouting this increasing level of achievement and involvement is recognised through staged activity badges
Gaining a challenge Award involves accomplishing a number of more ambitious tasks within the Colony or community. There are several challenge badges across a number of themes, from the physical and outdoorsy to challenges dealing with the local community or issues connected with the Scouting world.
